The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music of the University of Ostrava announces a job opening for a systemized position
- Docent (associate professor) or assistant professor for music-theoretical, musicological or interdisciplinary specialization (both music and fine arts).
Qualification requirements:
- higher education in the field, with the scientific degree of Ph.D. or doc. (or the perspective for obtaining a scientific degree in the horizon of 1 year)
- scientific research and publishing activities
- participation in expert panels, arts councils, etc. an advantage
- experience in the area of public funding (grants etc.)
- active knowledge of English (or another foreign language)
- higher education teaching experience (or in a research institution) would be appreciated
Required documents:
- filled application
- approval to the processing of personal data
- CV with an overview of practice (including studies and experience abroad, grants, etc.)
- copies of university degree diplomas (certified copies are not necessary)
- a list of current publishing and pedagogical activities
- plan of publishing activities at FU OU (perspective of the next 2 - 3 years)
Expected entry to the Department of Theory and History of Art FU OU:
- September 2020 (estimated workload 50-100% )
Application and selection process:
Electronically or in writing (with stating personal e-mail address) to the address below by 20 June 2020 (in the case of delivery by post, the date of delivery is decisive)
The first round of the selection procedure will proceed by assessing the submitted materials. Only selected candidates who meet the best-prescribed requirements will be invited to the second round, which will take place in the form of a personal interview in front of a selection committee (expected to take place at the end of June 2020).
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Ostrava reserves the right to invite to a personal interview only the selected candidates. At the same time, the Dean reserves the right not to select any candidate or to cancel or repeat the recruitment process.
