| Anotation | As part of her future dissertation thesis entitled "The Sensitivity of the Material - Paper as an Autonomous Artistic Medium", the PhD student wants to conduct an artistic-scientific research, which consists of interviews with specific Czech and foreign artists who have been creating their works in the medium of paper for a long time, the interpretation of their work and the reflection of their exhibitions. The emphasis is therefore mainly on the material itself, basically on the way specific artists work with it and how they perceive it, which immediately brings their understanding of this medium closer and anchors it in wider international contexts. Authentic interviews with artists are an important part of the concept of the dissertation, and the research therefore requires the personal presence of the doctoral student in specific studios and institutions not only in various places in the Czech Republic, but also abroad. At the same time, the dissertation thesis could be published in the future, which would enrich and supplement the insufficient amount of literature in the field of Paper Art. |
