AnotationInvestigation of the methodology of violin playing with an overlap into physiology, historical practice of violin holding, diagnosis of the acoustic impact of shoulder rests and subsequent investigation of their acoustic impact. The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the peripheral, and often neglected, issue of violin playing methodology and to highlight its importance. The study will be divided into three main parts. A methodological part, an acoustic part and a part dealing with the physiological impact of different types of shoulder rests.
